Hello!
I wanted to briefly talk about my opinion on why using a wood bat is important to advance your baseball career. EVERYONE can hit with metal, but when you start hitting with wood those singles off the end of the bat become outs. If you get jammed on an inside pitch your bat will shatter. These are key points to know when swinging some wood. In high school I never swung wood until my Sophomore year when my varsity coach said "swing wood it will get you better". He was an old school guy with not much other explanation other than that. At that point, Bryce Harper was in Junior College using a wood bat and just crushing! With a little inspiration from Bryce Harper and wanting to further my career I only swung wood if I was not in my high school, or travel games. I found that I was hitting the ball on the sweet spot of the bat more, my arms / wrists were stronger, bat speed was quicker, and exit velo went from 85 to 93 in less than a year...all from using wood!.
If you are reading this and looking to get to the next level, I implore you to swing wood. As a former Division 1 baseball player I can promise you most guys at that level hit with wood in the off-season, especially if they are going to get drafted...at that point you HAVE to use wood. Blem Bat Company was founded on providing affordable bats for all as I want our customers to get better, swing wood, and EARN THAT SCHOLARSHIP! Thank you for taking the time to read this and we look forward to your next order!
